More than just a Body
Physical wellness alone is not enough for you to be whole. You are more than just a body. Your earth suit houses all of you including your spirit and soul.
You are not just another animal walking on this planet. You have been made in the image of God. You are higher then the animals in creation.
You're one person made up of three parts, your soul (or mind), body and spirit, each part interconnects to make you a whole person. Your health wellness, emotional and spiritual, can effect your body in profound ways.
When you take good care of your physical wellness you are a good steward. Often we fail to realize that God made us the custodian of our own body. Sin can so easily beset us at times and you don't even know it's happening.
When your emotions are upset for example, that can cause you to over eat or drink to the point of being unhealthy. Having a physical wellness problem is being out of balance. Anything that is out of balance is not what's best for you.
Unconditional Love
God loves you unconditionally just the way you are. But your physical wellness may be improved by walking after the Spirit who leads you in all areas of your life. It would be a blessing if you could eliminate a physical wellness problem.
God wants the very best for you. Whatever the unbalance is in your life, you know what is is, God has an answer for you. Your overcoming victory is with God.
In Rom 12:1-2 it says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" NKJV
When you present your body to God you are saying that you trust God and His way of doing things. Your physical wellness becomes another area of submission that God can now bless as you grow in Him. It's like you're bowing to the King and allowing Him to take care of you in this area.
Your physical wellness will be preserved as you refuse to conform to this world when they tell you it's okay to take drugs, smoke, have sex like an animal or do anything that is harmful to you.
Instead your transformed into a Kingdom citizen by renewing your mind with the Word of God which proves what is good and acceptable and the perfect will of God.
Warring Against the Flesh
When warring against the flesh you are not left on your own. The law of your mind is not strong enough to win over the sin nature. The victory is not in the “Trying” to do good, it is in the trusting God to do it in you.
He is your defender, your guardian, your shield and your strength. You must lean on Him and His ability to work these things in you.
It's not about you. It's about God in you accomplishing the victories over the things you struggle with. With man it is impossible but with God all things are possible including all aspects of your physical wellness.
Your Body Temple of God
You are so precious to God. It is mind boggling to think that the Holy Spirit of Almighty God would think this earthly body acceptable enough to actually live inside it with us. Do you know that your body is the temple of God?
The Message Bible says it this way in 1 Cor 3:16-19 “You realize, don't you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you? No one will get by with vandalizing God's temple, you can be sure of that. God's temple is sacred — and you, remember, are the temple.
18 Don't fool yourself. Don't think that you can be wise merely by being up-to-date with the times. 19 Be God's fool — that's the path to true wisdom. What the world calls smart, God calls stupid."
Many ways to Gain Health
Disease also will attack your physical wellness. When you become sick there are many ways in which you can gain your health back. God gives us doctors, conventional medicines, holistic medicine practices, and Certain God approved complementary alternative medicine.
God also provides new discovery health products all to fight what ever attacks our physical wellness.
Through education you can learn how to eat right and get the proper nutrition for your body. You are prudent to take a good vitamin supplement get the proper rest and exercise.
You should do all that God puts in your hand to do to the glory of God.
Life and Death Battles
But when sickness comes don't neglect the most powerful weapons at your disposal. Those are the spiritual weapons of God. Most do not realize the power you have as a Christian in the spiritual realm.
Science will discover one day that the root of most sickness and disease is in the spiritual realm. You can learn how to fight and win spiritual battles of life and death in the Powerful Name of Jesus.
Physical wellness and Christian healing are blessings that Christ died for you to have. Your health&wellness are of great importance to God.
Isa 53:5 says,"He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." NKJV
Prov 4: 20-22 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
Prov 3: 7,8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
3 John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
